Privacy Policy AuraMind Effective Date: March 14, 2026 Last Updated: March 14, 2026 AuraMind ("we," "our," or "the app") is a focus and wellness app designed for neurodivergent individuals. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app. The short version: We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device. Information We Collect We do not collect any personal information. We do not require account creation, login, email, phone number, or any other identifying information to use the app. Data Stored on Your Device AuraMind stores the following data locally on your device to provide a personalized experience. This data never leaves your device and we have no access to it: - Preferences: Your brain type selection, soundscape preferences, audio layer settings, and visual animation preferences chosen during onboarding. - App Usage Data: Session counts, focus minutes, exercise completion counts, daily streaks, milestone progress, and energy check-in history. This data is stored solely to display your personal stats and progress within the app. - Calendar Blocks: Any focus blocks, breaks, or appointments you create in the built-in planner, including subtasks and recurrence settings. - Optional Display Name: If you choose to enter a name, it is stored locally on your device only for display purposes within the app. All of this data is stored using your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. Information We Do Not Collect We want to be explicit. We do not collect: - Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses - Location data (GPS, IP-based, or otherwise) - Device identifiers (UDID, IDFA, or advertising IDs) - Health or biometric data - Photos, contacts, or calendar data from your device - Browsing history or search history - Financial or payment information - Analytics, usage telemetry, or crash reports - Any data from other apps on your device Device Permissions AuraMind requests the following device permissions: - Background Audio: The app uses the background audio capability so that soundscapes continue playing when you switch to other apps or lock your screen. This is a playback-only feature. No audio is recorded. - Audio Session (iOS): The app configures an audio session for sound playback. Despite the system-level permission description, the app does not record audio through your microphone at any time. Third-Party Services AuraMind does not integrate any third-party services that collect user data. Specifically, the app contains: - No analytics or tracking SDKs - No advertising networks or ad identifiers - No social media integrations - No crash reporting services - No cloud storage or sync services - No payment processing services The app functions entirely offline. No internet connection is required. Data Sharing We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with any third party. Since we do not collect data in the first place, there is nothing to share. Data Retention and Deletion All app data is stored exclusively on your device. You are in full control of this data at all times. To delete all AuraMind data: - iOS: Uninstall the app, or go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > AuraMind > Delete App. - Android: Uninstall the app, or go to Settings > Apps > AuraMind > Clear Data. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered by us or anyone else, because we never had access to it. Children's Privacy AuraMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, no special data handling for children is applicable. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Users) If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to or restrict processing. Because AuraMind does not collect or process any personal data and all information remains on your device, these rights are inherently satisfied. We have no data to access, correct, delete, or transfer on your behalf. You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents) If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. AuraMind does not collect, sell, or share any personal information as defined by the CCPA. No personal data is transmitted from your device to us or any third party. Security Because all data remains on your device and is never transmitted over any network, there is no risk of server-side data breaches. Your data is protected by your device's own security measures, including device encryption, passcode, and biometric locks. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
